If music for you is just a background to working, driving and eating, you will probably have already read enough.

If it means more you might be interested in the 32 events that we are offering – especially when you hear that all events are "admission free". There will be concerts, improvisations and lectures and all will offer at least one piece of music by a living composer. On many occasions this composer will be taking part.

The wide variety of styles is not only chosen to appeal to a wide variety of tastes. Many composers today are deliberately looking for contact with musical styles outside their own. The idea of the festival überBrücken is to document this type of activity and to encourage it.

We hope to widen your musical horizon as well as our own and we would like you to visit all of these concerts if at all possible. That is the idea of not selling tickets. We shall be asking for voluntary contributions but how much you donate will be your decision.

We are, I hope at the beginning of a very exciting musical journey. Who knows where it will take us?
